Setting up Service Types

Service types are used to group your Contractors so that when assigning a Contractor to a Work Order Request, you can choose the service type required and all Contractors flagged under that service type will appear.

Creating a New Service Type 

  1. Go to Facilities Central in the left hand side navigation
  2. Click on the 'Settings' link in the far right hand side 
  3. Next to Contractor Service Types, click on the 'Service Types' button
  4. Click the 'Add New' button
  5. To allocate the service type to a specific tree node (or site), choose that one from the drop down list or leave the Tree Node default site.
  6. Enter the name of the new service type you want created
  7. Click on the 'Submit' button

Editing an Existing Service Type 

  1. Go to Facilities Central in the left hand side navigation
  2. Click on the 'Settings' link in the far right hand side 
  3. Next to Contractor Service Types, click on the 'Service Types' button
  4. Locate the service type you want to edit and click on the pencil icon
  5. Make the necessary changes
  6. Click on the 'Submit' button

Deleting a Service Type 

  1. Go to Facilities Central in the left hand side navigation
  2. Click on the 'Settings' link in the far right hand side 
  3. Next to Contractor Service Types, click on the 'Service Types' button
  4. Locate the service type you want to delete and click on the pencil icon
  5. Change the status from 'Active' to 'Deleted' (the service type can be reinstated at any time by selecting the Deleted status and click on the pencil icon and change the status back to Active)
  6. Click on the 'Submit' button

Once the service types are set up, you can now allocate them when adding a new Contractor or amending the Contractor details.
